Pastor Kenneth L. Hillard, Sr. 

Kenneth L. Hilliard is a native of Washington, D.C., and the Pastor of New Abundant Life Missionary Baptist Church, located in Washington. D.C. He is married to the former Vanessa D. Jones. They are the parents of two lovely children, Nikea and Kenneth Jr., and six very active grandchildren. Pastor Hilliard’s early education was earned through the D.C. Public School System. After graduating from Cardoozo Senior High School, he attended the University of Maryland. He graduated from the Washington Bible College in May 1992, with a diploma in adult education. He is currently continuing his studies at Washington Bible College. Pastor Hilliard is an active member of the Missionary Baptist Ministers’ Conference. 

Pastor Hilliard received Christ into his life in May 1969, and accepted his call into the ministry at Rehoboth Baptist Church in 1977. He preached his trial sermon on December 2, 1984 and was subsequently licensed to preach the Gospel of Jesus  Christ. Pastor Hilliard was called to Abundant Life Ministries on September 12, 1991.

On February 3, 1992, the church was set aside and became New Abundant Life Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor Hilliard gives GOD the Glory for the things He has done, is doing, and for what He’s about to do in his life and ministry. He strives tirelessly in his personal walk to press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of GOD in Christ Jesus If Pastor Hilliard stresses no other point in his ministry, he emphasizes the responsibility he has for the souls of his flock. He knows that he is accountable for everything he does and says which affects the spiritual lives of his membership and the community.

One of Pastor Hilliard’s favorite Scriptures is Isaiah 40:28-31, with ”But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”  Pastor Hilliard is a humorous, sincere. and devoted true man of GOD – Called by GOD and committed to complete GOD’s work
